"Avoid like the plague. I will try and make this brief but there is so much wrong with this place I likely wont have enough room to express it all. First off, the place was great when we moved in. Right up until the office ladies retired and they brought in new management. It felt like overnight that the place just started disintegrating before our eyes. Maintenance even got fired or quit & broke the security gates on their way out. Those weren't fixed for over a year under the guise of permits or how much it would cost to replace. A month or so before we moved out they finally fixed it, but it was still the same janky gate they had before just a new keypad. That is a minor thing compared to the other issues.
Became a ghost town after new management, people leaving left and right. Their "reasoning" for why so many empty apts was because they were "vetting" people more stringently. Funny because my shaddy next door neighbor wasn't even there a week before we were woken up by a shotgun going off next door. Supposedly someone tried to "break in" so he blasted out the front window. Lets not mention the obvious methheads that moved in shortly after downstairs from him, arguing at 3-4 am.
Washer and dryers are always broken, giant potholes everywhere, dirty neighbors that cause bug issues, our A/C went out FIVE times the last 2 months that we were there, they refused to replace it and instead the new maintenance guy just band-aid fixed it and would go out again the next week (in the middle of summer I would add), appliances are older than I am, no ice maker, not even shelves in the freezer. The pool on our side was constantly unusable all summer long. Prior to new mgmt the maintenance guy was out there every morning mixing up chems and skimming it. It was just like a light switch went off and we went from a decently priced, family friendly apt complex to a run down place that would increase your rent every signing without improving anything. They even painted the front portion of the apts like 2 years ago so they could take more appealing photos for their website and still likely isn't finished.
But, ultimately the worst part comes in the apt manager. They owed us a couple hundred dollars for almost a half a year due to a clerical error, and we didn't get that back until I told them I was going to take it out of the last months rent before we moved out. This was after SEVERAL attempts at emailing, calling, and physically going in. Have records of it all. It was always "out of her hands". Good luck getting ahold of someone higher up too. Then we move out and have been out of the apts for 3 months now with 3 emails and phone calls never responded to about returning our deposit. Might as well just take it as a loss if you decide you still want to move here because outside of you physically going in there so she can't dodge you, you're basically out of luck. Yet, if you owe them $20 (yes this is a real thing) they will put a note on your door telling you that if you don't pay it you will be at risk of eviction. This was only a few days after rent was due, and it turned out we actually didn't owe this. Yet they avoided and refused to return the couple hundred $ they owed us for several months. Comical. I was friends with a lot of my neighbors and I know that I was not alone in these issues. It is super sad tbh, my wife grew up in these apts when she was a kid funny enough. When we got here we loved it, even in spite of how small it was. We liked it enough that instead of moving out we upgraded to a 2 bedroom. But again, all that changed after they either got bought out or just solely due to mgmts incompetence. This is by FAR, the worst apt I have ever lived in. Fortunately it pushed us to get a house, so those days of dealing with this stuff are hopefully in the past. I just hope that people read this and understand that the reviews that are positive are bribed and bought, just read them lol. I hope this helps others avoid this nasty place and find somewhere that is worth the hard earned money you break your back for every day."
