"I’ve had an extremely disappointing experience living at Domain At town center. 7100 uvalde Rd. We discovered mold in our apartment and reported it to management (Alex Rojas) in August. Maintenance came, touched the mold with their bare hands, told us it was “dry,” and marked the issue as resolved and told my husband it was nothing to worry about health wise without performing a mold test. without offering any further inspection or solutions. Over the following weeks, my family became increasingly sick, and we later found additional mold in other areas of our home. Despite multiple conversations with the office, no one took the situation seriously. I called last week and spoke with Alex to let her know that the mold was spreading. She asked me did I want maintenance to come while I was home or away I told her I wanted to be home so I can talk with the service manager and show him all the mold areas. I received an email the following day saying a vendor went into my apartment and started removing Sheetrock from my first mold complaint. I replied and told them I did not give permission for anyone to go in my home and that I had my minor children there because they are out of school on Fridays. They tried to lie and say no kids were there until I sent a screenshot of my son ordering door dash at the time they were there and the maintenance guy actually picked the food up from the door and handed it to my son and continued to work. They not once offered for my family to move to another unit until I brought it up. They kept insisting that I would be charged a fee if I moved out early. This was negligence on their end. If they would have removed the reported mold a month ago maybe it wouldn’t have spread. Also if they would have changed the carpet and baseboards when the flood happened it wouldn’t be as bad. I asked to be moved to another unit and they expressed they did not have anymore 3 bedrooms available. They finally agreed to let me out of my lease without penalty but they won’t let me out until I sign a confidentiality agreement saying that I would remove my Google review and photos and never speak on the matter again.
We also reported a flood in our home that maintenance never followed up onafter the initial visit.
Even after explaining the health concerns, they refused to offer us an alternate unit or perform a proper inspection. Instead, they entered my home without permission while my minor children were there alone, despite my clear request to be present during any maintenance. The lack of respect for both our health and our privacy is alarming.
I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. The property management is dismissive of serious issues, and it’s clear that the safety and well-being of their tenants are not a priority."
