"Went to check this place out with my cousin as she’s trying to move to Spring. Super cute area close to Houston. The community is really beautiful. I was impressed with how nice the property is. The manger Laci was able to give us a tour. She told us that she’s new to the property but you can tell she has very high expectations and knows what she is talking about. This is definitely a top choice for my cousin."
"I went for a tour with Laci and felt more like she was family or a friend than a leasing agent.
Immediately upon meeting her she had an approachable attitude and walked me to a couple different apartments that were actually move-in ready. All of the other tours at different apartments I have been doing ONLY showed the model home.
She was very helpful and informative about the question I had. I am ready for this new move and loved the complex."
"There is not much I can say about the property, as Ive been here about 6 years. This property was called something else before it became The Retreat, and as of this review, they are still working on improvements.
However, I can say that the staff has improved a lot in the office. Shoutout to Sherlonda for being the one to show the most care towards our work orders that we've had for months. She was super friendly, easy to talk to, she listened to my concerns, showed a lot of compassion, professionalism, and amazing customer service in making sure we got the fixes done and made sure our happiness and satisfaction was #1 on the list.
The 4 star instead of 5 doesnt come from my feelings about the property and its cost of living, just her individually.
Edit: She is no longer there. Management is constantly switching up.
Edit 2: (Jan 2 2025): Stay away from this place. The office staff is hardly ever available, leaving the office "closed" more than "open". It gets noisy at night with disrespectful and rude neighbors (which the office wont do anything about), and the fees for this property adds an additional $200 to your rent with many of them you have no idea what its for or already have, and they only care about getting your money under any means necessary. Again, stay away. Its not worth the money you'd pay to live here. Its the real reason its called "The Retreat"."
"Please read! Beware of this property! I was fooled by so many good reviews of the apartment but it’s misleading. I’ve been here for a year and we’ve gone through several maintenance guys and management companies nothing is ever fixed . I simply asked to have updated appliance because my stove hasn’t worked properly since I’ve moved and I’ve put in Several work orders , the dishwasher doesn’t work at all , and I’ve had to use the washer/dryer across the street because mine doesn’t work. Because I don’t have a premium unit I have to settle for old appliances that barely work. Also the tub needs resurfacing it feel as if your sitting on concrete . Several tenants around me have issues as well and the premium “new” units have more problem! This is my first apartment since being in Texas and it’s the absolute worst. I can’t believe I’ve been going back and fourth with the managers to simply get my appliances I use daily. This is an honest review I have pictures and videos I will upload as well. Also we had a bat infestation problem and nothing was ever done . I have video proof! One got into my apartment and maintenance guy asked could we sleep in one room until he come the next morning. Listen , save yourself the trouble don’t believe all the good reviews. I’ve reached out to cooperate as well and never received a callback as promised. I hope this review save someone the headache and heart break of thinking this apartment will be a safe comfortable place for your family, because it’s not. Sorry but everything I’ve stated I have proof behind it."
