"First moved into these apartments around April 2023-ish. At first, my boyfriend and I loved during our tour, but upon moving in, it was bit of a nightmare - it still is now. When we moved in, the office had a completely different move in date from what we are provided so we moved into an apartment with the carpets still dirty and roach infestation. I was pretty upset, but the manager was very prompt with a solution: we moved into a first floor apartment and our rent for the third floor was honored. That was great -- other than that, everything else is extremely bad. Only gave two stars because I do like the leasing assistant, Karli and the manager Paula. They're pretty fast at responding and nice. But the apartment complex itself is a no.
1) Parking is absolutely ridiculous. It went from reserved parking (which takes up a good portion of convenient free spaces already) and first come first serve spots to converting almost half the first come first serve spots to visitor spots AND having to register your car. Only one permit is allowed per one leaseholder, so if you have 2 cars, you pay an EXTRA $25 a month for the extra permit. I find it deplorable for apartment complexes to charge their tenants even more money for parking at a place they literally LIVE at. If you work late, you're most likely having to walk FAR if you live on the opposite side (ex: if you live in building 4 or 3, you'll have to park by building 7 or 8 and walk across to get home. Why.) It's annoying.
2) They have a limited income restriction rental program. Want to upgrade to a 2 bedroom? You can't because of the program. You must qualify or else, you're stuck.
3) Dog poop is literally everywhere and they don't maintain the landscape. There are some apartments where you can literally smell dog pee and poop festering in this heat and it is so gross. Walk around the complex and you'll see lawns unkempt, grass is gone, and you see only dirt.
4) FREQUENT power outages!!! Beware!!! I understand a hurricane taking out the power, I'm not unreasonable, but just the other day the power went out for a few hours for no reason. I mean I'm not a electrician, but I experienced a lot of power outages during my lease here. Maybe it's because the apartments are nestled near the wooded areas or something, idk.
We submitted our early termination - we thought we could live another 6 months here, but we decided we weren't going to waste money somewhere we're not happy at. There's apartments with more amenities, better parking, and better landscaping. I advise those looking for apartments to keep looking, unless you can overlook the negatives."
