"I have lived in this apartment for about 40 days now and here is my experience as a 19 year old, fresh out of High school:
1. Move in was patchy at best, I wasn't given a mailbox key for 3 weeks (was supposed to receive after a few days), There was a cat in the unit before we arrived, which left the smell of cat pee. Very spacious with lots of room for creativity (for one person)
2. couple weeks in things settled and few inconveniences rose.
A week after I moved in, the apartment security broke into my apartment for a "vacancy check". At 1 in the morning, they entered my apartment without permission and yelled, shining flashlights at me as I woke to see the commotion. They believed no one live in the unit. Turns out they had received the wrong paperwork and broke into a 19-year-olds apartment. So, parents, I would check in regularly on your young adults. With all that, I woke up another morning and my truck was gone. Turns out, my vehicle was towed by their chosen company. Previous to this, I was not told by management or associates that I needed to register my vehicle on any site other than the Resident portal. Fortunately, I had no prior reservations for that afternoon, and they released the vehicle. They paid for an uber which I am grateful, but this could have been prevented with better communication.
3. Management/maintenance. Though previously informed that I would receive a call from the manager about the security guard situation. After several weeks, I have not heard a word from the manager themself. Maintenance was pretty spot on, they responded within several hours and fixed it while I relaxed.
conclusions:
This apartment is Okay for first time apartment renters, and people with lower incomes. You could really make it your home. However, if you have the budget for something smoother, and transparent, this may not the be the place for you. The neighbors mostly keep to themselves. The quality of the units themselves are average from what you would expect for the price, noisy fans, loose outlets, and no microwave.
Overall a 3.5/10 experience, but once you get settled and coast, it can be a 6-7/10"
