"ima keep this short and simple , very quite and very admirable. But you can’t judge a book by its cover, various amounts of things don’t work when you first come in almost like they didn’t prepare the apartment for the next tenant(s), when you ask to get something fixed it takes almost a week just for someone to come look at it, i’ve been waiting on a trash can since i’ve moved in ( july of 2024). Management has changed at least 2 to 3 times since i’ve been here and it’s almost like they don’t exist , they’re maintenance guy trys to handle everything when he’s just a useless maintenance guy. Bugs and roaches everywhere since i’ve moved in no matter what self treatments i try, they never clean the pool i have not seen it blue since i first seen this place on the internet, entrance gate and exit practically do not work at all and rarely have since i’ve been here. last but not least my vehicle was towed and they claim i was given 24 hours to move it. i look at my vehicle everyday of the year i certainly do not recall seeing a sign AT ALL on my windshield stating it was going to be towed. place is absolutely not what it seems to give when you see it on the internet. i will not be here much longer and advise everyone to stay away from here and seek home somewhere away from Cambridge."

"Estes Properties took over Cambridge Apartments several months ago. They should not be allowed to own any properties that people live in. They do not care about you, they lie, they ignore you, they do not help you when help is needed. After Beryl, because they never tarped the brick wall that crumbled down, my bedroom continued to flood every time it rained. They would not answer me, they would not do anything to fix the problem. While black mold is taking over by bedroom. Not to mention it's in every other room as well. One of the maintenance men went into my apartment, right after I left for work after lunch, went into my bedroom, unlocked my window, and left. Within one minute. If I didn't have my security camera, I would have never known my window was unlocked. The regional manager Tonya Griffin, literally lied and said she was with him the entire time. I contacted the Vice President, Rachel Estes, at the advice of a police officer for her to handle the situation. Now I have black mold, and fear for my safety. Her response to me was they have every right to enter when they want to when there is water intrusion, which there wasn't because this was 2 days later, and no one responded to my phone call or maintenance request, and he was working on the apartment above mine, not mine. She told me I had no right in calling the police. She never even addressed the mold. Didn't have a care in the world. The black mold contained to get worse and was affecting my health. I have plenty of pictures. I would NOT recommend living in any of the properties they own."

"This is a terrible place to live please whatever you do turn away as fast as you can. They have switched many people within the last couple weeks. One lady was stealing money orders so they switched up their payment system. Very unorganized and lazy people. I called and had a written notice to vacate my apartment. I had moved on October the 7th, they were supposed to prorate our rent Oct 1st-7th cause that was the only day we could move in we talked with the property and they told us that will be ok and arranged. 4 weeks later my rent hasn’t been prorated
I have yet to receive a callback regards
To our deposit we have photo/video proof of how we left the apartment. All I can say about this place is to go far far away and don’t even peak interest . I will be talking to my lawyer regarding this matter, - past resident 11/3/24"

"I wouldn’t recommend The Cambridge apartments to anyone. They took mine and my fiancé’s deposit for a specific unit that we were told we would be getting, and then refused to send us our lease for 2 weeks and then came back and said 1 day before move in that our apartment unit “was no longer available” and “had been leased for months” already. (We literally did a “walk through” that unit before putting in our application and it was completely empty, and we took pictures) Which they also said in another later statement that apartment was only a “viewing” apartment. So which is it? We were also told we would get a discounted rate which was also not reflected on the lease agreement they finally sent and the different/new unit they had listed on the lease, was not the same unit number as what was in their email. So again, which is it? Either two things happened. 1 is they took our deposit without having an apartment available or 2 they took our deposit and gave our unit to another tenant after we had already paid the deposit. (We were told “just because you put down a deposit on a unit doesn’t mean you will get it”) Also, we had concerns with the countertops in our original unit as they were older black countertops and not the new white ones they had advertised. We were told we were paying the same price as the units with the new countertops, and that we would originally get “refurbished” black countertops. At that point, we were still OK with proceeding with our lease agreement regardless of the countertops, and had NEVER agreed to change units nor were we ever notified of any changes until 1 day before move in. We had gotten the runaround since day 1 and now wasted precious time that could’ve been used towards finding a new home. I have NEVER had this issue with any other apartment I’ve lived in. This was absolutely ridiculous and is NOT OK. As already discussed and stated with the property manager, I will be contacting the BBB regarding how they have conducted business. I STRONGLY recommend you stay FAR AWAY from The Cambridge apartments in Angleton!!!"
