"We have been living here for almost 14 years. We're about to be evicted because the office manager has us locked out of our account so that we're unable to pay our rent. We had until the end of November 2024 to renew our contract, but we've been locked out since October. It all started when she wanted us to pay a pet deposit that we had already paid for since July 2022. Then she wanted us to pay pet rent going back two years when she had literally just sent a letter notifying us about it. The other management company never said anything about monthly pet rent. Since she couldn't get money out of us that way, she said she wants us to pay 1,305 for the rent that's $200 more than what we usually pay. Right now, I think it's up to 1,346 that she wants us to pay. Mind you, we live in a 2 bedroom that's almost the rent of a 3 bedroom here. I've tried calling Fairfield have left muliple voice-mails and messages with a person answering the phones there and no one has bothered calling us back to try to fix this problem. The office manager does not want to help. It's really sad how yall are allowing this lady Theresa to treat the long time residents. And allowing her to charge whatever she feels like. We've always paid the rent on time have never had any problems with anyone until this lady came along.
** How are we supposed to contact yall, and to whom exactly are we supposed to talk to? Because as of now, no one has returned our calls. We want to know where she came up with these outrageous charges of almost $1,350 if she clearly sent a letter saying the new charges would be $1,176 if we signed a contract and if we decided to go month to month it would be $1,198. And her saying all we had to do was "pay it this one time" so she can unlock our account. Because that doesn't sound shady at all right? What about the $250 non-refundable fee she was trying to charge us as well? That was never in any of the contracts we had. We called the office manager and she's never returned our calls. My husband has been to the office and was told she wasn't discussing this with him. This has been our home for almost 14 years, and it counts for nothing. Fairfield has our phone number, and we're still waiting for a call we're never going to get. To put it simply, you all do NOT care about the people living here. Nor do you all even care to resolve this problem. And by reading some of the other reviews it looks like she's trying to overcharge other ppl some bogus charges as well. I wouldn't be surprised if yall end up with some legal troubles, allowing this lady to continue working there and keep doing what she's doing. Maybe you all should talk to her about trying to charge people things that were NEVER in the contract to begin with."
