"Great apartment in an excellent location. We were the first tenants, and the amenities, including both pools, were fantastic. Maintenance staff was prompt and professional. Can't say enough good things about them.
The management for the first year was exceptional, organizing events that helped us meet neighbors and make friends with open bars and sometimes even a chef. However, after the complex filled up, new staff took over, and the events, now sponsored by local businesses, drastically declined in quality. Not a big deal and I guess expected for a new complex.
When moving out, we kept the apartment clean and hired a professional cleaner. Despite this, management replaced the carpet in one bedroom, claiming it couldn’t be cleaned, and charged us without consulting. While we admit that we could've had the carpet professionally cleaned ourselves, it felt like management took advantage of the situation to charge us for a full replacement. This left a poor taste in our mouth despite being good tenants throughout our stay.
Overall, a good place to live, but be cautious of management's practices when moving out."
"I’ve been visiting this complex for the past year bc of my business partner. All of the amenities are top notch and location is incredible for access to the bayou. I recently decided to move bc of the positive experiences I had with the staff over the past year.
Irasema, Luciano and Christian all made my process effortless and I’m grateful for the positive experience they provided.
Norma, Martin and the rest of maintenance staff are always available to help with any issues as well grounds upkeep.
10/10 recommend Alexan memorial to anyone looking for a luxury apartment complex with the friendliest staff."
"The application and leasing process was a bit of a mess. Staff is not the kindest or amenable, but other than that i really enjoy my apartment unit and amenities."
"Been living here for about 6 months now. Overall 7/10 living experience. For the price you pay, you expect more. Definitely expect to lose power (& hot water) for extended periods of time anytime the wind blows. Amenities are fine. Staff is pretty friendly but overall wouldn’t say you get your money’s worth for what you pay."
"After 2.5 years of living here my opinion of how great Alexan Memorial is has changed. I love my unit, but the noise from neighbors and the lack of willingness for the front office to do anything about it has been consistently disappointing. I’ve put in over 20 noise complaints since I’ve lived here. I’ve shifted my focus regarding the incessant noise to during quiet hours only, and still nothing. Apparently all they have to do is remind the neighbor of common courtesy, but not require them to abide to what they’re asking. I’ve asked that given the increasing rent prices and lack of really any real help with my neighbor situation they would be willing to negotiate the rent prices but to date they’ve said no. They’ve offered to move me to a top floor unit, which of course would require actually moving and paying $200 extra per month. Apparently resident courtesy is optional but them working with you isn’t."
