"Hey, think twice before moving here. If you must live here, choose a unit on the newer side. I live on what appears to be the older side: silverfish, missing hardware, rats, rusty landscaping, trash on the grounds, piles of dog s**t, faulty appliances. It doesn’t exactly look like the website. Absolutely tour your unit before moving in. I moved 1300 miles to live here, sight unseen. Mistake. Was given no tour, no orientation & I’ve had to submit roughly 15 maintenance requests in the two months I’ve lived here. Have to resubmit maintenance requests multiple times before anything is completed & there’s no follow-up from management about them. Also, watch for fees tacked onto your rent that don’t seem to be optional, like trash valet and processing charges for using plastic to pay your rent. (They don’t have auto pay here, which is insane in 2025.) Just now I discovered my tub drain doesn’t close for baths & for the 3rd time in two months there’s no hot water tonight. I absolutely regret moving here. Use caution!"

I've lived here about 4 months on the 3rd Floor, there are water leaks since before I moved in that they never fixed. around June I noticed mold in my bedroom closet so i placed a maintenance call and no one came out to fix it. Mold continued to grow in my closet. I had to take everything out so that my clothes & shoes wouldn't be ruined. I moved everything to my living room and spread everything out there for work waiting for them to fix mold. I never opened my master closet door again. Mold was spreading and no one cared. I was worried it was in ventilation system and being spread throughout the apt with A/C unit. Then after Beryl, i had multiple ceiling leaks in the master & dining room areas. Plus mold had spread worse now because of Beryl. I called maintenance weekly to ask when mold would be removed or when ceiling leaks would get fixed and they told me the roofing company comes out once a month so I have to wait. WTH that is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Meanwhile I was having respiratory issues and severe headaches. It took almost 2 months of living with mold before they fixed issues. I gave notice because I could no longer stay there due to the mold in my closet and the ceiling leaks.
WARNING If you lease on 3rd Floor, You will have leaks into your apt. They know about issues and all they do is superficial repairs so you think everything is nice & clean when really there are leaks and there is mold. DON"T LEASE HERE. Even if you pay rent on time, they wont bother to fix issues."
"UPDATE***
So ever since Tracy came in and some new help in the office, messages have been delivered promptly and maintenance has acted much quicker. Things have drastically changed positively. They work with you too if you just had a sudden job loss or income change so that’s nice and human of them. I think these apartments are turning for the better now and I wish them and any future residents the best.
Tuscany Apartments location, prices and walking safety is by far the best you’re going to find in the area!
Terrible Maintenance and Rat Infestation Issues
I’ve been living here for only 4 months and my experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. Since moving in, I’ve encountered numerous maintenance problems that have been met with inadequate responses from the management team.
One of the most alarming issues has been the rat infestation. It started with occasional sightings, but it quickly escalated into a full-blown problem. Despite numerous complaints and requests for pest control, the issue remained unresolved for far too long. I had to deal with rats in the kitchen, which is not only disturbing but also unsanitary.
Additionally, the maintenance team’s response to other issues has been consistently slow and ineffective. For instance, when I reported a serious plumbing issue, it took almost five weeks and multiple follow-ups before it was addressed. During this period, I had to endure a severely clogged kitchen sink that caused significant water damage.
The lack of timely and effective maintenance, combined with the ongoing rat problem, has made living here extremely stressful and unpleasant. I would strongly advise anyone considering moving here to think twice and thoroughly investigate the property’s management and maintenance practices before making a decision."
"Move in date Jan 25th, still in corporate housing Feb 8th.
Severe water damage in master bedroom making it not livable. Thus I have been in corporate housing, far from my work.
Edit: added photos before the repairs with water damage and one during the repairs. Was extensive. Also garage unit had a small indentation in wall.
Feb 9th
Currently livable, process and timeliness painful.
Edit further: they don't know how to bill correctly. Do not recommend, avoid this place."
"Listen to what people are saying. I had a severe leak unrelated to storm issues that took a month to fix. Maintenence does not check their emergency line, so god forbid you have an emergency. The front office is nice but incapable of doing anything without corporate. Avoid any apartments that has Richmond as their corporate, they are IMPOSSIBLE to contact, and will not help. If you do live here, avoid the first floor. There are lots of mice/rats that live here but we never had them in our second floor apartment. My car was broken into. My mails been stolen."
