"Tread very lightly here. I lived here for almost three years as the size and cost were hard to beat. However, I began getting sick all the time and that's when I realized the mold situation. I had testing done and notified them immediately of the results. They ignored me constantly until I took legal action and filed a lawsuit. At that time, they attempted to gas light me that there was no mold, mold testing isn't valid, etc. etc. All I wanted was to get out of my lease early (literally only two or so months) but they refused. They finally cleaned the airducts after MONTHS.
After moving out in May, I received a final bill with a ton of added charges. I paid my prorated rent on May 1st and was told I would receive a final bill after move out with all the final UTILITES included. Cool. Eddie Laurel, the manager, and I had been in contact regarding my move out date but he documented this incorrectly (I have all the email receipts to prove). He assured me the bill I paid on May 1 included the correct prorated rent based on my move out date. When I finally received the bill, I noticed they charged late fees, month to month fees, and additional rent. I have emailed multiple times but have only been ignored. They sent my remaining charges to collection which will ultimately impact my credit but I will be fighting this as there is no reason I should pay month to month rent or late fees when I paid on time and they just charged me for the incorrect move out date. Eddie Laurel really should take some accountability for his mishap. I was more than willing to pay the amount I OWED, but refuse to pay extra when they are just trying to pull one over on me..
This place is a sh!tshow with no accountability, no care for their tenants, and just after a dollar. Again, tread very lightly.
Not to mention the gates never work, the electricity is constantly going out. You will also pay $200 plus on electricity monthly, deal with car break ins, vandalism, unresponsive and rude staff, plus more."
