"I have lived here for almost 4 years now. This has been the worst experience for the highest I have ever paid. Theft is a major problem, but management doesn't care to install cameras around the property. You will be spammed daily with reasons they might fine you. You are required to replace your own bulbs and water filters. They do not clean the common areas citing that its "the resident's responsibility.'' Grills have been broken for years due to maintenance responding slowly. Repairs in your apartment takes weeks to get to. Please think about another apartment complex before renting from this place. Also, the 5 star reviews are very suspect. One even cites how "well kept" this place is, which is laughable. I doubt the authenticity of many of the reviews. Speak to a resident before believing these Google Reviews. Heck, speak to a resident before believing my review.
Edit: the response from the owner is a perfect encapsulation with the problem of this place. Notice how they say they are "working to resolve the issues" such as maintenance requests and fixing the common areas. They have been like this for YEARS. There comes a point where you must say "they aren't fixing it, this is who they are.""
"Horrible experience! Now, I looked at the reviews before deciding to still tour the complex, big mistake! The staff is horrible, I walked in and the young lady at the front desk didn’t greet us when we walked in I had to speak to her! Very unprofessional. I then told her I had an appointment to view an apartment, she asked who I’d spoken to, I told her I’m not sure but I have a confirmation of my appointment. She then said “well we don’t have anything to view, soooo..… and that was it. Like seriously?! Who’s training these people? That was an awful experience and I see why the tenants are so angry. Do better!"
"I moved in at the beginning of '24 and have steadily had a worse and worse experience ever since. Things were alright for awhile, but the new property management company harbor group is an absolute nightmare. I'm sure signing your lease with them is a great process, but don't expect much beyond that. A few tenants are great, but many of them are inconsiderate as can be with noise and activity well beyond midnight. The hallways are perpetually dirty and the same trash has been on the staircase I use for months. Pest control issues (we shouldn't have to ask for this management! We pay for it monthly) are abundant, walls and railings exhibit safety concerns, the gate system is a mess, etc. My thermostat is next to my front door, so it has no idea what the actual temperature in most of my apartment is. Do you work for a living? Good luck trying to just get out onto kingsland in the morning. Recently I had an issue with parking multiple vehicles that I own. I already pay extra for this. Instead of working to find a solution, I was first prompted to pay more money. Only after mentioning that i contacted the corporate office (and never receiving a reply by the way) was a solution suggested.
They are raising most of the additional fees associated with living here as well.
Potential renters, this is a warning; living here is not worth the cost. And this is something that discussions will not solve. Check back when reviews reflect good service, not just the signing experience."
"Some of the reviews are harsh. It doesn’t suck but it struggles in some areas: parking (that VPP app isn’t my fav), maintenance is a bit slow to fulfill a ticket but they do have 300 other units (the main Spanish maintenance guy maybe his name is Chris, idk but he is super nice and usually will come pretty quickly if he knows I’ve been waiting a while), I’ve had a lot of issues with my outlets in the kitchen going out (I have to constantly flick the switch in that box), and lastly I don’t like that the gates are often open.
Isaiah deserves 10/10 stars because he’s efficient, quick, and kind! They hired this new lady recently who’s also Spanish (sorry I don’t know her name) but she’s really really sweet too, shes in the office sometimes, straightens up the gym, I’ve seen her helpingg maintenance etc.
One day my car got towed because I had JUST changed my plates from our state and didn’t get to change it in the app— stupid because I pay for parking but I went into the office flipping out. It really wasn’t the nicest of me but that lady was so empathetic and kind.
I am considering not renewing but only to upgrade to a place with a dog park, a larger property with a running trail, and the outlet thing is really driving me bonkers. It doesn’t matter where you go though there will be issues. If I don’t find anything I really love I will renew my lease— it’s not that bad."
"Lived here back in 2020/2021 It was horrible! Roaches everywhere I lived inside the building where the gym was the stairs were always gross and dirty, there was always roaches. I had roaches all day everyday in my apartment I am super clean I kept all my food in the fridge and all! Trash always all over the community gates always broken, car thefts all the time! My time here was so bad."
