"I recently moved out of Meyer Forest Apartments after living there for five years, and my experience with the current management has been extremely disappointing.
1. Security Deposit Dispute: When I moved in five years ago, I paid a security deposit, as required by most rental agreements. However, the current management claims I did not pay a deposit and insists I provide proof. After so many years—and with multiple management changes—it’s unreasonable to expect tenants to keep documentation when this should be their responsibility to maintain accurate records.
2. Carpet Charge: They deducted $180 from my move-out check for a carpet replacement, stating the carpet was “too dark” and “dirty.” After five years of normal wear and tear, this should be considered standard maintenance. Meyer Forest even offered free carpet cleaning yearly while I was a tenant, so they could have easily cleaned the carpet instead of replacing it and charging me. It feels unfair to hold me responsible for something that is clearly part of routine upkeep after long-term tenancy.
3. Utility Charges: The management also claims I didn’t pay utilities during my first two months living there. This is the first time I’ve ever heard of this issue, and they didn’t provide any documentation to prove it. Why wasn’t this addressed years ago, if it was legitimate?
Unprofessional Management: Over the years, Meyer Forest has gone through several management changes, and this has led to a lack of professionalism and accountability. It feels like they are taking advantage of tenants by presenting unclear or unjustified charges after move-out.
A Final Note: As a student, I worked hard to maintain my home and fulfill my obligations as a tenant. I am deeply disappointed by how the management handled this situation, and I hope the owners or someone from Meyer Forest will address these issues fairly."
"I made an appointment for 1:30pm for a tour. I show up and the leasing office was locked. Unbelievable. Drove out of my way to come to a locked leasing office. Tried calling and of course no answer. Extremely unprofessional. If this is how you treat new potential residents I can’t even imagine how you treat current residents. ONTO THE NEXT."
"I’m leaving a review based on my experience of the customer service. I came in as a walk in and was greeted by Tiffany, provided information and given a tour of the floor plan I’m interested in renting. I was almost ready to lock in a contract with them , UNTIL I read the reviews ? ?
Though Tiffany was very sweet and I’m sure has a great future ahead of her because of her customer service skills . I cannot ignore the most recent reviews, since We obviously live in a world of social media and the web. I’ll come back to the reviews in a few months and hopefully ?? there are Changes and better reviews. Thanks everyone for you feedback . Yikes ?"
"The staff is wonderful! I recently toured Meyer Forest and LOVE the walking path, fitness center, and pool! The model unit I toured looked very nice and modern with granite counters and nice stainless steel appliances.
The manager told me they have been hosting events for residents including fitness events, costume contests (for Halloween), and other holiday events.
This definitely seems like a great place to live!"
"I lived here for over a year and decided ro move out I had too many issues in my apartment. Mold being one of my greatest issues. Maintenance nvr came to fix the issue they only changed a vent in the living room to make it look better I had to throw away so much of my items including a king size bed I was sleeping on with mold on it I didn’t even notice growing at the bottom until I was moving out. I am now having health issues because of the mold growing in that apartment. My light bill was extremely high $800 for one month even tho I only lived there and go out of town often even after getting an expectation my meter was fine so it was somthing else in the apartment. After going to the office multiple times. Nothing was done. One manager on the right side of the office was completely rude to me and told me that it was not mold it was “condensation “ and she told me I can not move out she will send me to collections. Nvr tried to help me with a solution once just straight up rude. And started talking to someone else as if I was invisible and not still sitting in her office in a chair. They only gave me $100 credit for the electrCity that’s now on my credit. My second bathroom had this noise as if somthing was running 24/7 even tho both switches would be off I have cracks in my second bedroom window and after moving out someone put all there trash in front of my door. They also changed the locks after asking me to enter my apartment when I told the women on the phone I was going to return them personally to the office. When I came to return the keys and tell the same manager who was rude to me she told me that the lady said that I would leave the keys on the counter. But I never said that nor would I do anything like that especially after people already put trash in front of my door. When I came back to check on the apartment all the lights was on and when I went to go turn them off that’s when I noticed they changed the locks. No one in the office took accountability and I nvr got a letter in the mail after moving til this day because they are trying to get money out of me and mess up my credit this is not my first nor 3 rd apartment and they tried to treat me as if I was inexperienced and didn’t know any better. I’m a vet and I paid my rent on time every month"

"Today September 9, 2024 at 12:15pm. Horrible service from the girl wearing glasses with a tattoo “a heart ♥️ “on her chest located offside of the offices on the desk at the front right side. She did not invite us to take a seat. She Did not look to your eyes, she was not interested about the info we were looking for. I’m sorry for all the people who have to visit this place. I hope it was not about racism. She wrote the info about available apartments and my family were standing in front of her with a bunch of seats available. Obviously I’ll never get back here for info."
"I love my new apartment and without Ms.Tiffany Dean I would probably still be without one. She went over and beyond to assist any of my questions or concerns.
