"I have been a resident for the past 5 years. This was a great location for me. Wendy made life here extremely difficult. When repairs need to be done, you get scolded as if its your fault the apartment has issues. Ive been asking for a contract renewal since december , multiple times, and have given up. It is now february and i asked for a 60 day notice to vacate and was given that notice IMMEDIATELY. Wendy makes it clear when she wants you out, and makes your life difficult if you dont do it. Beware."
"Had the best experience with Ms. Wendy. I believe she is the manager handling everything in this beautiful building. From start to finish, she was very helpful, professional, and kind. She was doing multiple tasks at once and still handled my situation with a smile. Thank you to staff members like Ms. Wendy."

"I'm so close to giving City View 5 stars – the only problem here for me, and it's a big one working often from home – is the internet provider (DSL from the 90s).
I've lived here for 2+ years and while I don't make much use of the amenities, the location is great with the best views of downtown, the building is historic and unique, and though things do break on occasion – it's an old building – they're promptly fixed. If you go to Astros or Dynamos games, it's the perfect spot. And with EaDo continuing to grow, there's plenty of walkable shops, restaurants and bars.
Hopefully we'll have internet from this era soon – there's a chance of Comcast or Verizon 5G – and I can update to 5 stars."
"I've been a resident for over 2 years and the one star rating is for the location, as it's within walking distance to the ballpark.
First and foremost, the complex is listed as luxury lofts , but the complex is anything but luxurious. Many of the community amenities are non existent; the high tech computer resource center consists of two computers with a printer that sometimes has paper and if it doesn't good luck locating the property manager. She's in and out on a whim with no or last minute notice, there is no theater room, there is no lush landscaping and professional management is definitely not a word I would use to describe the current management. The property manager provides last minute notice for all community repairs. For instance, just this week mid-day Tuesday we were notified of power washing that would take place on Wednesday. The notice included a passive aggressive comment that failure to move vehicles or damage would not be their responsibility. My partner and I often travel for work, luckily I was here to move his vehicle otherwise we would not have been able to move it as he was out of town. Office closures, use of the basement, etc., are all communicated last minute without any regard to the complex tenants.
I could go on and on about the issues; and as a previous tenant noted; fees are charged based on who and what the property manager, Wendy wants to charge.
For the amount of money they charge for rent, I would recommend looking elsewhere."
"I love living at City View! It's an awesome location, the community is tight knit and neighbors frequently look out for you. The building is historic and the property still has the warehouse/industrial feel which is gorgeous. I love the layout of my apartment (especially the bathroom and the size of my bedroom) and get lots of natural sunlight during the day. The walls are also not paper thin like most places so I rarely hear my neighbors which is a HUGE plus!
Wendy, the property manager, is amazing at what she does and takes very great care of her residents! She's extremely personable and has been the best property manager I have had since moving to Houston 4 years ago. My dog loves her equally as much and always stops by Wendy's desk for a hug on our way out for a bathroom break or walk."
