"My husband and I have lived at Citadel for over four years, and we couldn’t be happier. The complex is beautiful, the community is welcoming, and the staff truly makes it feel like home. Laura is incredibly kind and goes out of her way to make sure residents feel valued and cared for. The annual Christmas soirée and resident events are just one of the many thoughtful touches that make living here special.
The maintenance team is top-notch! While I often hear complaints from other complexes, we’re beyond lucky—requests are always completed within 24 hours. Daniel, in particular, is amazing. He doesn’t just fix problems; he makes sure they’re fully resolved and done right the first time. Plus, he’s down-to-earth and always great to chat with. We’re so grateful to call Citadel home!"
"Ed was so awesome to deal with! He made leasing a breeze. After having so many negatives experiences with nothing but automated phone systems at other properties, Ed and Laura answered the phone every time and/or returned my calls within minutes. We applied and were approved within 24 hours! Best experience we have had with any leasing office in the area. Simply The Best! The property is beautiful and well kept also. No trash. No smells. Happy tenants. Makes sense with a great, competent, customer focused staff."
"I’ve been a resident at Citadel for a year. I encountered one accident where my tires were stolen. A few months after I was billed for a trash fee, but Ms. Laura waived the fee due to the theft of my tires. It may not be much to most, but I appreciated the small act of kindness. As my lease, comes to an end, I wanted to publicly give Ms. Laura a huge thank you for being understanding and supportive during difficult times. During my time, I never encountered any issues with residents or staff. Everyone here is to themselves, quiet community, and caring staff. Every complex is going to have pros and cons. Accidents happen all the time, but the staff has been doing a great job at having a night security guard to ensure that no accidents happen and residents feel safe. Thank you. Wishing the citadel staff a successful and promising future . (:"
"I enjoy living here. I feel safe. My floor is quiet. Clean property. However i hv to give a real review and mention the humidity. Its so high and always feels damp. I just bought a $200 dehumidifier to keep me from buying damp rids every two weeks. I do wonder about mold bc there’s no way with this humidity that mold isnt or won’t be a problem in the future. I also bought an air quality detector. shouldn’t hv to do all this but. The delivery system/drivers is 2 stars. I resigned my lease bc i just honestly dont feel like moving during the holidays when it is up. The pics are of the moisture collected in just two weeks and packages just left out by drivers. There are signs that say dont leave packages but its ignored. I do feel for the drivers bc unless the leasing office is open there’s no way for them to get in."
"My partner and I love our apartment it is big and cozy. We feel safe in this community despite the other comments that honestly made me second guest whether this was the place for us before we toured it. Citadel has a strict security systems in place. The best thing you can do is tour it and see for yourself! Also, every one is so friendly and respectful! I couldn’t be happier about the decision we made!"
"I lived at Citadel for three years, and unfortunately, my experience was far from positive. During my time there, I was a victim of two separate theft incidents. My storage unit was broken into, and on another occasion, my car was vandalized. Despite the presence of security cameras on the property, management failed to take any meaningful action. Each time, I was told that nothing was captured on the cameras, leaving me feeling unsafe and frustrated.
What was most disappointing was the lack of response and support from management. They showed little concern for the safety of their residents, and no improvements were made to security despite these incidents.
While the location and apartment itself may seem appealing at first, the lack of safety measures and unresponsive management significantly diminished my overall living experience. I would advise future residents to be aware of these issues when considering this property."

Leasing is passive aggressive and only responds with excuses. This apartment is in a downward spiral so save yourself the time and money. The apartments also are not worth the price. I decided to go and see what the apartments here are going for since I last leased and they increased in price by $300 making a 1bedroom apt. $1800-2000. Please for the love of god do not pay that prices for this place.
Advertised as “luxury” but something is always breaking down and it takes them days to weeks to fix. The gate has been down for almost 2 weeks. Do you know how unsafe that is? Why is the gate broken at a luxury apartment?
Do not be fooled by 5 star reviews they just come from people who tour this place not actual residents.
Noise here is also terrible and I wish I knew this before I leased. I literally know when my neighbor uses the bathroom.
If you are sensitive to noise or hate noise this place will be a nightmare for you.
Many options in Houston when it comes to leasing so don’t waste your time here."
