"I have mixed feelings about our stay at Berkshire. When we first moved in we didn’t have our electricity on. Mind you we were coming from Florida, and paid a head of time before move in day to make sure they were on when we arrived. We had this entire back and forth for about a week. Between the Entergy company and the front office not having any real answers for us. Basically both the entergy and front office were literally blaming each other about it, it was pretty ridiculous to the point my family was ready to help me get the courts involved. We had to stay in hotel because of this due to the hot weather and heat advisories. Courtney had called us and had the audacity to say “that this wouldn’t be considered an emergency, and that there’s nothing they can do, and would just need to continue to contact entergy.” That’s very awful considering we moved from Florida with travel expenses, paid the deposit, then paying extra hotel expenses…We had been told the apartment owner would be in contact to give us more insight to what the entire issue was all about. Mind you, we never received a call from them nor an apology. Moving past that issue…I’ll admit we did very much enjoy our apartment. It was very nice!! I loved how we could see nothing but the forest from our apartment windows and was very peaceful! I also have to say the maintenance hands down is amazing. They always went above and beyond!
We did however have another issue. While the apartment technically does not have complete control of loud neighbors and can only give them warnings…we had complained multiple times about our loud neighbors who liked to party all the time. They would stomp, and move furniture in the middle of the night. Sometimes hear them screaming. They were so weird…They were partying past 3AM screaming and yelling one night. We did call the courtesy officer and he called us back an hour later saying that he would go tell them something. But I truly don’t think he ever went to tell them anything because they still were loud that entire night. Our neighbors would party every weekend, and I’m not opposed to the partying because I understand they were very young. But they would keep us up until 4-5AM. Not everyone has the luxury of having the weekend off from work. One weekend, I did have to call the courtesy officer again and he did nothing but lie saying that “they are moving out, and we had nothing to worry about.” Also, I don’t appreciate after he shut down their party, the officer came downstairs to our door to let us know about it …pretty much jeopardizing our privacy and speaking pretty loudly to us that our neighbors knew we complained on them. After that our neighbors started to harass us. We had a doorbell camera and they would come up to our door. When I had my 4 year old niece with me one time they drove by us revving their engine on purpose speeding in the parking lot. I could go on and on about them. But the point I’m trying to make was that I felt like our safety was jeopardized by yalls courtesy officer and I don’t appreciate that at all.
I get that you’re going to hear your neighbors given we live in an apartment complex…but these people were absolutely inconsiderate and so disrespectful. I’m in my 20’s and have more respect for my neighbors.. I’m very glad I don’t live in an apartment anymore. It was my first apartment experience and wasn’t the best experience."
