"I visited Ashton Oaks Apartments after Move For Free apartment locator referred me here because it was in Fort Bend County and in my price range for a 1 bedroom 1 bath 1st floor only. I am giving the property 3 stars for over all the apartment is well maintained and I felt instantly that this was a excellent new place to live. Well unforgettably the overall score I would give Lena the manager and the process to apply here wasn't a good experience for me. I would give her and the process 2 stars. I applied here on a Friday and finished faxing information requested by Saturday. Monday July 8th Hurricane Beryl arrived and delayed the process. I informed Lena at the start that I was self employed so I don't have check stubs but I do have my last year income tax return which exceeds the 3 times the amount of rent rule both in addition this property wanted 2 months of bank statements well that would be great if my funds went to one bank account but instead I give my customers the option to pay me 4 ways via apps. I spent tremendous amount of time emailing 2 months worth of history of how I was paid. Lastly I have 5 years of paying my rent to my previous rental history with having a zero balance with given a 60 day notice . I did pay late but always with arrangements with the manager luckily this apartment was accommodating with tenants to make rent payment arrangements but with Ashton Oaks Apts I was told I was not approved due to poor rental history. What a joke! if you call paying all your rent over 5 years at your previous apartment complex poor rental history after all this is not a place I would want to give my money to anyway. Lastly in closing right before applying to Ashton Oaks I was approved at another apartment complex in Missouri City but they want to much money for a deposit so I declined to move there. I just want to share my experience as a local guide for Google the public should know. If you are looking for a new place to live Good Luck!"
