"**Review for 27 Lower Heights Apartments**
I lived at 27 Lower Heights Apartments for two years, and my experience went from great to horrible. During the first year, my husband's truck was stolen from the property. Despite paying $2,000 a month in rent, management did nothing to assist us, nor did they provide us with the video footage. However, when a neighbor’s truck was stolen a few months ago, they were shown the footage, which felt like a slap in the face.
The second year was an absolute nightmare. Packages were stolen from my front door, and I later discovered that the trash valet service was responsible. While I was eventually compensated, it was only after pressing the issue hard with management, who were initially hesitant to refund me. Additionally, my car was broken into, and once again, management did nothing but send out a warning email to all residents.
The pool area becomes unbearable during the summer, not only because of the noise but also because guests often bring 10 or more people with them. They leave beer cans and trash all over the pool area during the weekends, making it an eyesore. To make matters worse, the trash valet service doesn’t operate on weekends, so the garbage just sits there until Monday, creating a disgusting and unsanitary environment.
Dog owners allow their pets to relieve themselves in the hallways, leaving the mess for maintenance to clean up. The hallways constantly stink, and a neighbor informed me that there was mold in the hallway on the 5th floor next to the garage. Instead of addressing the issue properly, management simply painted over it. Trash outside overflows & stinks. Multiple people’s cars have been damaged & broken into and the leasing office is no help.
When I was moving out, I believe maintenance entered my apartment and took my bed frame, thinking I had already vacated the unit. This was despite the fact that I still had a few days left on my lease. Conveniently, there was no camera footage available, and no one could tell me how my bed frame just "walked out" of the building. I'm now involving my lawyers to resolve this issue.
To top it all off, I didn’t receive my security deposit until August, even though I moved out in May. While the staff is always friendly, they never offer real solutions to the numerous issues residents face. Before moving in, I strongly suggest asking them about their turnover rate. Don't be fooled by the positive reviews; they don't reflect the reality of living here."
"Rey was outstanding at giving me my tour, answering questions/being responsive, and making sure my unit was move in ready. He was super knowledgeable and really sold the complex well.
Upon actual move in, I am not disappointed at all. The building is beautiful, the amenities are great and it is well maintained. They are constantly picking up trash around the exterior after the weekends, mopping the lobby, and vacuuming the hallways. The maintenance staff is so friendly and responsive.
There are also a lot of resident events and local business partnerships which I think is super cool/ fun.
Overall I would highly recommend leasing with Rey and living in this community."
"A Huge shoutout to Herbert Flores for being the absolute best here at 27seventy Lower Heights. Having Mr. Herbert and his Phenomenal team makes life worth living here, might I add its only one call that's all whenever there is a need . The apartment is well-maintained , clean, and the amenities, like the pool and gym are top-notch. We appreciate the updates and minor mishaps he has handled for our apartment. The staff is incredibly friendly and very responsive, always addressing any concerns promptly. I also would like to add how convenient the location is for perfect commuting. The Maintenance Team is efficient and reliable , fixing issues quickly. Super proud to call this place home."
