"Words cannot begin to express the indignation felt after the horrendous customer service experience I had with one of the female leasing agents a few Saturdays ago. First, I was a previous tenant at said property; likely one of the better ones as I paid my rent on-time and several times, I paid early. My lease ended and unfortunately, I was in between jobs and chose not to continue the lease. I moved out and accrued some moving charges which I was prepared to take care of the day of the INCIDENT with said leasing agent (apologies as her name escapes me) but she was rude to say the least. About 3 Saturdays ago, I came to the property (around 930am), the office was supposed to open at 10am and the leasing agent hadnt showed and it was around 10:20am. I left to look at other apartments in the general area and came back around 11:30am. At this time the leasing office was open but female agent was talking to a group of prospective tenants or so I thought. So i patiently waited and the more I waited, the more enraged I got. The people whom I thought were prospective tenants were friends of the agent and they werent talking about "Trails at City Park" or any other "sister properties" in the management portfolio. They were having side conversations while I was trying to pay an outstanding debt and potentially re-apply to live there. The friends finally left and it went downhill from there. I told the leasing agent about her lack of professionalism: from showing up late to having friends at the work place instead of conducting business which she is being paid for. I guess she didnt think it was my place to tell her what to do, as she aptly said, "I was not her boss" and then she said "You need to leave, I no longer wanna help you." Laughable right!!! Right....a good tenant is being denied for calling you out on your BS which I hope your manager later did by way of disciplinary action. I told her I wanted to reapply, she refused to help and then chose to call the police on me and I quote, called me "AN ANGRY BLACK MAN". Now anyone that knows me, knows that I am anything but angry....the type of work I do, dictates that I remain impartial. So not only did the leasing agent come to work late, refuse a potential NEW/renewed lease, but also called the police on a black man in the age of George Floyd when police are killing black men for just being. This agent is a SAD EXCUSE for a leasing agent and a poor reflection for the management company. I will follow this review up with correspondence to the District Manager and Regional Manager as I'm sure the Property Manager won't do anything (they seem to be friends). It is my hope that this is rectified and other prospective tenants are not treated in this way but if not I will not stop until said leasing agent is fired or transferred to another location.
Best,
Charles Adams "Angry Black Man" as coined by your leasing agent"
